At the center of SILO, the question or central puzzle for the audience is “Why does this community live in a man-made, post-industrial concrete hole in the ground?” The beginning of SILO is interesting. The initial hook, writing, acting, production values, cinematography are all good if the viewer likes the overall subdued dystopian genre. The challenge for the viewer can be the fast-paced assembly line of constantly pouring out mystery boxes and the overall slow pace of the plot.
